Oxford Middle School Undergoes Reconstruction

Since July of 2011, Oxford Middle School has been in the process of constructing both a new gymnasium and eight new classrooms. The upgrade to the middle school is partly due to an increase of students.

Oxford Middle School has about 888 students and according to Principal Jeff Clay, they are anticipating to have over 900 next year.

While the school continues to grow in number, the addition to the facility will also grow in size and space.

This new addition will include teacher workrooms, storage space, an office, and dressing rooms.

Students and faculty are both looking forward to benefitting from this upgrade.

“It will be an exciting time where we’ve got a group of students that will be able to move into a new facility,” Clay said.

If everything goes as planned, this new facility will be completed in the summer of 2012.
